Known as the “Power Star” of Kannada cinema, he began his career as a child artist, earning the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for “Bettada Hoovu” in 1985. Puneeth’s transition to lead roles in the 2000s brought him immense success with hits like “Appu” and “Raajakumara.” Besides acting, he was a noted singer and television presenter. Puneeth was also involved in philanthropy, supporting education and healthcare initiatives. He passed away on October 29, 2021, leaving behind a legacy in Kannada cinema.
